The International Documentary Association (IDA) announced nominations for the 2012 IDA Documentary Awards on October 19th. This 28th edition of the world’s most prestigious awards for nonfiction filmmaking takes place on Friday, December 7th at the Director’s Guild in Los Angeles. Penn Jillette, the renowned illusionist, comedian, musician and best-selling author, will host the ceremony.

We Are Wisconsin is nominated in the ABC Videonews Source Category, which recognizes the use of news footage in a documentary.
